How to use bitumen flashing tape
The invention of bitumen flashing tape has made great difference to simplify a wide range of building projects. It is used during construction to tightly seal off the gaps between windows/doors and the exterior of the house. Many roofers also it to seal cracks before securing shingles.
Bitumen flashing tape is a self-adhesive waterproof rolling material with SBS modified asphalt as the base material, polyethylene film, aluminum foil as the surface material or no film (double-sided self-adhesive), using anti-adhesive isolation layer.
The use of asphalt tape is very simple, as long as the non-waterproof workers can see the schematic immediately after the operation. The operation process does not need heating, does not need the binder, the bond bond, saves time saves work, is safe and reliable.
In addition to working to seal doors, windows and roofs, it is also commonly used around vents, chimneys, skylights and other fixtures that project through the exterior of the building.
