Production process of pre-applied HDPE membrane
Pre-applied HDPE membrane is one of the three main geosynthetics commonly used in landfill engineering (other geonets and geotextiles), and its anti-seepage performance is the main indicator to measure whether the sanitary landfill meets the environmental protection requirements.
The pre-applied HDPE membrane is usually made of a continuous thin layer of polymer and is not absolutely water-tight, just relatively impermeable to geotextiles or fills or even clays.
Production process of pre-applied HDPE membrane:
1. High-density polyethylene is usually manufactured by the polymerization method, which is characterized by no branch on the molecular chain, so the molecular chain is arranged regularly and has a high density. In this process, ethylene is used as raw material in a tubular or tank-type low-pressure reactor, and the polymerization reaction is initiated with oxygen or organic peroxide as an initiator.
2. High-density ethylene is an environmentally friendly material, which can be recycled and reused when heated to the melting point. It should be noted that plastic raw materials can be broadly divided into two categories: "thermoplastics" and "thermosetting plastics".
